Kenneth James Chrobak, age 73, passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Originally from Chicago, Ken has been a resident of Rhinelander, Wisconsin for the past twelve years. He is survived by Ginger, his wife of 46 years, and his sons, Ken and Dan.

Born in Chicago on April 12, 1942, Ken grew up there until he served in the military during the Vietnam War. After his service, he returned to Chicago, and began a long career in printing ink manufacturing, where he worked his way up to production manager. Ken and Ginger married in 1969, and they raised their children in suburban Chicago. After retirement, Ken and Ginger relocated to Rhinelander where they were active members of multiple charities and local organizations.

Generally with a smile on his face, Ken was always willing to stop to chat and share a story with everyone. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and his community.

Visitation Sunday, 3-8 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., at Northwest Highway, Mt. Prospect, IL. Visitation continues Monday 10:30 AM until Funeral Service 11:30 AM at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 2025 S. Goebbert Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment Mt. Emblem Cemetery.
